Business Intelligence Analyst

We’re the worldwide leading supplier of quality replacement parts, safety equipment, and accessories for the material handling and industrial equipment industry. We’re seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst that Partners with the business to gather business requirements for reporting and design and implement various analytical reports based on requirements defined by business users. Translate requirements and ideas into creative and statistically driven solutions.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Work closely with business partners to analyse and understand business processes to create and design insightful and intuitive reports
• Leverage understanding of business intelligence software to advise the business on best practices in order to deliver the most valuable insights, including:
• Advising stakeholders on your views and ideas in order to optimize the reports to be efficient and effective
• Understands the impact of one's actions on others and demonstrates respect for others
• Effectively communicate findings and solutions to a variety of audiences.
• Provide advice and support to executives, managers, clients, and other stakeholders in using business intelligence dashboards
• Propose changes that make the BI solutions more efficient and/or reduce operation or maintenance cost
• Lead reporting projects from business requirements gathering to delivery
• Facilitate communication and understanding between business users and data team
• Take ownership of all assigned tasks and project related assignments
• Organize and lead meetings with the business and project teams

• Support prioritization of scope based on end user needs and business value
• Report project progress at all levels, including management and/or the stakeholders

Ensure the quality, validity and accuracy of reporting provided to the business including detecting and adjusting abnormalities or errors within the reports

Share and define best practice for business intelligence reporting, including:

• Develop and implement organizational reporting standards
• Collaborate with business users regarding standardization and delivery
• Share best practices with other Business Intelligence Analysts and Developers and the IT team in general
• Analyze and recommend new ideas and opportunities to streamline processes, address inefficiencies and increase business satisfaction

Deliver business intelligence reporting training to business users as required and address functionality questions to promote the usage of Business Intelligence tools within the organization

Update and maintain professional knowledge and gain insights in business intelligence solutions, tools, and practices including participation in training, staying current with business processes and practices, and enhancing expertise in this area

Travel internationally up to 10% to collaborate with Belgian colleagues

Education & Skills

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Business, Information Technology, Management, Business Administration, or another applicable field

• Must possess a minimum of two years work experience performing a substantially similar role working in functional or business analysis for an ERP system in the specified business area
• Demonstrated interest and/or experience working with business intelligence tools and/or reporting
• Demonstrates proficient knowledge of business ERP systems with a focus on financial modules including data analysis, typical business processes, reporting, and interdependencies on other ERP modules
• Proven track record in project management, planning, implementing, and communicating technical information
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative and effectively manage multiple projects and changes quickly and effectively
• Demonstrates advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Desirable qualifications:

• Experience, knowledge, and/or training with visualization tools (Tableau, Qlikview, BigQuery)
• Experience, knowledge, and/or training with the Agile/Scrum methodology
• Project management and Stakeholder management experience
