Corporate Traffic Coordinator
Function
As Corporate Traffic Coordinator, you will be responsible at corporate level for specific traffic-related tasks (inbound/outbound) leading to optimizations in terms of cost, business intelligence, processes, reporting, carrier performance, carrier relationship, administration and communication. As project member / lead participate to corporate projects related to traffic / logistics. In case of starting up with a new carrier, coordinate the entire implementation process.
Your responsabilities are among others:
- Transport rate management: On project base and independently organize, coordinate RFI/RFQ exercises and transport rate comparisons/negotiations for alle traffic lanes, subs, transport modes in order to optimize existing and future transport flows
- Transport budget management: Analyse financial transport data in order to monitor KPI's and organize/implement corrective actions if needed
- Transport service level management: Analyse performance levels of carriers and organize/implement corrective actions if needed
- At corporate level know/understand the local transport processes in orde to be able to give advice and suggest process optimizations. You will participate as project member/leader in corporate projects having a link with traffic
- At corporate level coordinate the complete implementation of new carriers in order to make sure that all aspects/to do's related to starting up a new carrier are covered
- Updating, maintaining and sharing professional knowledge by continuously remaining up-to-date of the evolutions and developments in the field of international transport in order to strenghten your credibility and by offering services that are continuously based on up-to-date knowledge
- As part of this function, you are also willing to travel occasionally (nationally and abroad)
Profile
- Master's degree in a business economic - preferably logistical - orientation or equivalent by experience
- Experience with carrier set up / IT integration
- Minimum 5 years of relevant logistical professional experience in an international environment, worldwide, with focus on transport
- Experience with tender management, detailed price analyses, service level agreements, creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures, customs procedures and goods inspections, organisations and chairing of meetings
- Operational management of the following means of transport: air/sea/road/express
- Language skills
- English and French fluently (writing letters, making presentations, drawing up reports, training courses, manuals,...)
- Dutch and German asset
- Analytical, organizational and negotiating skills
- Computer skills and functional use of Qlikview/Tableau
- Strong empathy
- Ability to fluently deal with domestic and foreign colleagues
